 Most new aircraft designs seem to involve composite construction. Why is Phoenix FanJet building an all-metal aircraft?  
     
 

There are several reasons for our decision, notably proven manufacturing technology, broader availability to maintenance and repair, and the ability to build a lighter aircraft due to the higher structural excess margins placed on composite aircraft by the FAA and JAA.
