The
Phoenix FanJet is an extremely stable aircraft. It has no unusual
flight characteristics and, in some ways, it is even easier to fly
than piston aircraft. There is no torque or slipstream and a single
throttle with no mixture or props to adjust. It is flown as easily
as any high-performance single-engine aircraft, but being a jet,
the Phoenix is far more aerodynamically "slippery" than piston-powered
aircraft. So, as with any other fast airplane, the pilot must think
further ahead of his current position at all times.
